What an amazing end to a wonderful series！！ I loved seeing how Stephen and Gemma fit together and filled in what each was missing。 Stephen was a Captain in the Royal Navy and still feels guilty about the men who died when his ship was ambushed。 He's visited the family of every man who died and feel somewhat relieved to find that one of his crew presumed dead is alive and well。 Little does he know the dangers he'll find while tracking this man down。 Stephen has sworn off love， but when he meets G What an amazing end to a wonderful series！！ I loved seeing how Stephen and Gemma fit together and filled in what each was missing。 Stephen was a Captain in the Royal Navy and still feels guilty about the men who died when his ship was ambushed。 He's visited the family of every man who died and feel somewhat relieved to find that one of his crew presumed dead is alive and well。 Little does he know the dangers he'll find while tracking this man down。 Stephen has sworn off love， but when he meets Gemma， a young widow who's visiting London for the season he might just change his mind on that matter。 Gemma， the Countess of Hawkinge， is finally out of official mourning for her husband and will spend the Season with her aunt and cousins in London。 Her late husband's brother is none too pleased about it but Gemma is glad to be away from him。 She doesn't think she'll love anyone other than her late husband but starts to question that when she begins to develop feelings for Stephen。Both Gemma and Stephen learned they don't have to deal with their grief and problems by themselves。 Stephen had friends to help him and Gemma had a loving family to help her。 I loved Gemma and Evie's interactions as Evie is one of my favorite characters。 In fact， I loved seeing all the characters from the previous books， it one of my favorite ways to end a series。 This is a Regency romance but there's also some intrigue， spies， a kidnapping， a chase and more。 Each book can be a standalone but the thread of intrigue running through the series is enjoyed better when the books are read in order。 。。。more

clean romance I enjoyed this “conclusion “ of the Gentlemen of London series。I like reading where a set of characters each have interaction between books but have their own chances of romance。Both the hero and heroine are grieving from losses and broken hopes and dreams。 Yet they are stronger and find healing with each other。 They must work past others who are in their way and find the answers to the mysteries that have arisen in their lives。Highly recommend this book， series and author！

I have loved this whole series！ Each book was so well written。 I am a little sad to see this series come to an end， but the ending was very satisfying。 I have read all the books but I think you could read this as a stand-alone although you will miss a few things。This author does a great job having romance and and intrigue。 I couldn’t predict how things would turn out。 It was a very enjoyable read。

Perfect Ending to a Wonderful Series。 Each book in this series could be read as a stand alone story but the characters continue from book to book as well as some of the story plots。 It is best if the stories are read in order to get the most out of the series。 I loved that so many of the characters from previous books were in this last story。 Mr。 Stephen Wycomb was introduced in the last story and he lost Miss Evie Ashmore， the woman he was coming to love， to another man。 His sister， Marielle， i Perfect Ending to a Wonderful Series。 Each book in this series could be read as a stand alone story but the characters continue from book to book as well as some of the story plots。 It is best if the stories are read in order to get the most out of the series。 I loved that so many of the characters from previous books were in this last story。 Mr。 Stephen Wycomb was introduced in the last story and he lost Miss Evie Ashmore， the woman he was coming to love， to another man。 His sister， Marielle， is married to Lord Hugh Calvert， the one man he had gone to school with， that he couldn't stand。 So he remained in London to ensure her happiness。 As a former Royal Navy Captain， he cannot get over his grief and the feeling that he had failed his crew， as they were ambushed and killed by the French。 He has made visits to the family of each crew member that he lost。 When he finds out one of those presumed dead is actually still alive， he decides to track him down。 He had no idea the danger this would involve and the help he would require by Lord Hawthorne and Lord Haddington。 After Stephen is rejected by Evie， he doesn't plan to marry but then while visiting his sister， he is introduced to the cousin of Lord Hawthorne and Lord Hugh， Gemma， the Countess of Hawkinge。 She is a beautiful young woman who is a widow still getting over the death of her husband。 Her aunt invited her to come to London for the season。 Stephen can see the pain in her eyes and he begins to have feelings of protection for her。 He even starts to dream of a future with her。Gemma never planned on loving anyone but her departed husband， Baldwin。 She is surprised by the new feelings she is having towards Stephen。 Members of her family are determined that she has nothing to do with the wealthy business man， they deem far below her social status。 Gemma will need to fight for the future she wants。I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest unbiased review。 。。。more

This series！ I love the adventure， mystery， romance， characters… I love it all！ It’s been so fun to get to know all the characters。 I have been very curious about Stephen and enjoyed how Gemma makes him want to be a better man and helps him heal from the hard things he is going through。 Stephen does a similar thing for Gemma， which is why they are perfect for each other！ They both have experienced loss， and their experiences are helping each other heal。 Another great addition to the series！
